Fifty-Two Dinners

One new recipe a week for a year. That was the original goal set as a New Year's resolution way back in 2009.

It didn't happen. Nor did it happen in the following years.

But I have continued posting and striving to try one new recipe a week. Some months it happens. Some months it doesn't.

And along the way I've picked up readers from across the country who occasionally pop in to see what's cooking.

Clearly there are better food blogs than mine.

But if you're looking for quick, easy, and healthy with a dash of humor... I'm glad to share what I can.

Green Smoothies

I'm posting this recipe because it's really tasty... and because it grosses out my husband every time I make it. Every time he turns his nose and says "but it's GREEN!"

And I know what you're thinking. Cooking more healthy recipes is one thing. But this... this is INSANE. And you're turning up your nose already. INGREDIENTS

1 handful Spinach
1 cup milk
1 banana
1 handful ice
1 TBS peanut butter
1 scoop chocolate protein powder

DIRECTIONS

Throw everything into a blender. Mix. Drink. Yum.

VERDICT

Yes, it's green. But you don't taste the spinach at all. I promise! This is a great drink to get your day started!!! Try it!
