One new recipe a week for a year. That was the original goal set as a New Year's resolution way back in 2009.
It didn't happen. Nor did it happen in the following years.
But I have continued posting and striving to try one new recipe a week. Some months it happens. Some months it doesn't.
And along the way I've picked up readers from across the country who occasionally pop in to see what's cooking.
Clearly there are better food blogs than mine.
But if you're looking for quick, easy, and healthy with a dash of humor... I'm glad to share what I can.

Homemade Apple Pie
Who would have thought a recipe created in 7th grade home-ec would still be so important today. This picture doesn't even begin to do this pie justice. Crust by me.
Filling by my mother.
Teamwork at its best.
As for the recipe... it's a family secret. Hungry yet?
I'm a working mom to two preschoolers who tries to sneak spinach and other healthy stuff into their dinners with occasional success.
We live in Upstate NY (you know, that place nearly 7 hours from New York City? The one closer to Canada than Long Island? Yeah, that's us!)
I'm the pickiest eater in the house so the bulk of these recipes are taylored to things I'll eat: -shrimp, scallops and mild fish -chicken -beef (only the good cuts- you won't find any ground beef recipes here) -soups, salads, and not-so-healthy dips and appetizers -anything stir-fry

If you're looking for extra-healthy... see the links below to the other blogs.
I'm just your middle of the road average cook who likes to borrow and adapt recipes from places like Pinterest and kraftfoods.com. And I'm notoriously bad about following directions, so you're pretty much guaranteed that I'm not copying anyone else.
Care to see what I come up with? I'm glad to share what I've tried so far.
