Quick desserts for a Micky-themed party
The other two blogs are featuring pictures from K's birthday party, so why shouldn't I post some pictures here too?
Both started with store bought mixes. For the cookies, I usually make sugar cookie dough. But time was tight and I tried the refridgerated dough roll for the first time ever. Instead of slicing the roll into circles I rolled it out and used cookie cutters to make hearts and the letter K.
They baked out just like regular (aside from the second batch that I overcooked!) and I frosted them like usual with a mix of milk and confectioners sugar. I set aside some of the frosting before adding the food coloring and put it in a ziplock bag. I cut a small hole in the bottom and the dots were easy to make that way!For the cupcakes, again I started with a box mix. Big Oreo cookies plus little Oreo cookies equals Micky Mouse ears.
